World Outreach was founded by Dr. Roger V. Houtsma. For over 30 years Dr. Houtsma pastored great churches.
He led these churches into a corporate call to an apostolic commission in carrying the gospel of Christ to those who have never heard. For over 25 years his last church sponsored dozens of World Outreach crusades and conferences in such places as Siberia, Indonesia, and Africa. A central focus, however, has been the nation of India because of God's sovereign call on Dr. Houtsma's life.

With every commission, God establishes a specific purpose to be accomplished through warfare prayer over a city or region, along with mass evangelism. Crusade meetings across five nights bring to thousands, who are totally un-churched, the good news of Jesus Christ, confirmed with miracles of healing and deliverance following. Daytime hours are devoted to Leadership Conferences to which Church leaders of all denominations in the crusade area are invited. Here, ministers are baptized in the Holy Spirit, trained, and released in the supernatural to bring fresh release of expression in their ministries.

At home and abroad the churches participate in the crusade outreaches. Intercessory prayer ministry for the city or region where a crusade will be held, and for the World Outreach team, begins weeks, even months, before the scheduled date of the meetings. Through this focused prayer ministry, the purposes of God for the region are revealed and the demonic spirits that dominate the area are exposed and confronted. This warfare prayer continues
up to and through the week of the crusade, intensifying as the date approaches.
